Eligibility
Eligibility is determined from your linked health record via Apple HealthKit. If your therapy doesn't appear in your health record, we don't currently have a means to verify it. Contact us at contact@eiro.ai and we'll try to work with you to verify your eligibility.
Residents of Washington, Nevada, and Maryland are currently excluded due to state-specific data privacy regulations. We're working to expand access and will update our eligibility page as availability changes.
Yes. We recognize ICD-10 codes for depression in partial and full remission (F32.4, F32.5, F33.4). As long as your health record shows both a depression diagnosis code and an active treatment, you qualify. See the full list of recognized diagnosis codes.
Only if those sessions are documented in your health record through Apple HealthKit. We look for standard CPT and SNOMED procedure codes from clinical records. If your provider bills through a health system that supports Apple Health records, those sessions should appear. Otherwise they may not be detected.
Yes, you must be 18 years of age or older to participate in Eiro Engage. This is required for informed consent and compliance with health data regulations.
Data & Privacy
We access only the specific clinical data types needed for eligibility and research: medication records, procedure records, and condition records. We do not access your full medical history, lab results, vitals, or other health data. See our privacy policy for full details.
Your data is de-identified before entering our systems. Your name, date of birth, and other personal identifiers are stripped. We use randomized identifiers internally, so your personal identity is not linked to your health data.
Access to health data is strictly limited to authorized members of the Eiro research team and is governed by our internal data access policies. All data is stripped of identifiers, encrypted in transit and at rest, and handled in compliance with applicable regulations. Researchers at Eiro cannot link your health data back to your identity.
Yes. You can review exactly what data has been shared from your health records at any time through the Eiro Engage app. We believe in full transparency about what we access and store.
Yes. You can withdraw from Eiro Engage at any time. Upon withdrawal, we will delete your identifiable data. De-identified data that has already been incorporated into research datasets may be retained, as it cannot be traced back to you. Reach out to contact@eiro.ai to complete the full withdrawal process.
No. Eiro does not sell your personal data or health information. Our research generates insights from aggregated, de-identified datasets. We will never sell individual-level data to third parties.
Compensation
Compensation varies based on the data you contribute and your level of participation. Specific amounts are provided in the app once you've completed enrollment. We're committed to fair compensation for the value your data provides to depression research.
You can initiate a payout at any time, but you must have accumulated at least $50 in rewards to initiate a payout. Lifetime rewards are capped at $200.
Payment method details are provided during enrollment in the Eiro Engage app. We aim to offer convenient options that work for all participants.
Yes. Any compensation you've already earned and received is yours to keep. Withdrawal affects future participation and earnings only. You will not be penalized for choosing to leave the program.
Compensation received through Eiro Engage may be considered taxable income. We recommend consulting a tax professional for guidance specific to your situation. Eiro will provide any required tax documentation as applicable.
App & Technical
Eiro Engage requires an iPhone with iOS 16 or later, since health record linking relies on Apple HealthKit's clinical records feature. Android devices are not currently supported, but we're exploring options for future compatibility.
First, make sure your health system is connected in the Apple Health app under "Health Records." If your records still aren't appearing in Eiro Engage, your provider may not support Apple Health record sharing, or there may be a sync delay. Contact us at contact@eiro.ai for help troubleshooting.
If your health system doesn't support Apple Health records, we unfortunately can't verify your eligibility automatically at this time. We're working on expanding our data access methods. Contact us at contact@eiro.ai and we can discuss alternative options.
Health record linking is required to verify eligibility and to contribute the clinical data that powers our research. Without it, we cannot confirm a depression diagnosis and active treatment, which are the core requirements for participation.
That is no problem. All participation happens through our task model. Just get back on the platform, resume completing tasks and earning rewards.
You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us at contact@eiro.ai. We'll process your request promptly and confirm once your identifiable data has been removed from our systems.
